All our design work is achieved using either Solidworks or Visicad solids based CAD systems to ensure flexibility and the best designed tools available.
Each part however simple is modelled before tool drawings are created, to ensure user friendly dies are made and to eliminate errors.
In addition to tooling design we also offer a component design/modelling service - from conception through to production drawings and rapid prototype models.
Utilising a broadband internet connection and .ftp sites we can also send and receive large amounts of data simply and quickly.

3D - IGES .igs
3D - PARASOLID .x_t/.x_b
3D - STEP .stp
2D - DXF
However we can use data output from most CAD systems , 2D, 3D and .stl data is fine for quotation purposes only.
Using data output from our CAD systems all N.C.programming is produced using Hypermill and Mastercam CAM software controlling a fully simultaneous 5 axis Deckel Maho and 3 axis Hurco maching centres.
We also utilise manual vertical milling machines and traditional toolmaking and finishing skills to maintain flexibility and total control over all ongoing projects.
All our toolmakers are multi-skilled reducing any 'bottle necks' in the production process.
